This is the main reason we chose this model: that and the lion.
And this is where it sits - on top of the mosaiced pot. I really don't know why we wanted this. Neither of us wears watches and are not governed by time but it just seems in keeping with this very rustic garden. 
As well as not knowing the time, we rarely know the date so I always miss the Bloggers Bloom day in the middle of the month. So here's my little April 22nd treat - marvellously dazzling colours of just two of the plants at the moment.

Hi Cheryl. Yes, gazanias - aren't they gorgeous. They go dormant when it gets really hot and then with the October rains, pop up all over again.
So glad you got some sun. We do follow the Kentish weather forecast as my sister lives near Sevenoaks.
Ladyluz I truly understand when you say "we are not governed by time and one day rolls into the next!" I have been here in Arizona for 2 months and looking at 2 weeks left before heading home! You are blessed living in such a tropical setting..wish I could live in Arizona permanently but I'll take what I have and appreciate it! Love the gazanias!

Losing track of time is great. Your sundial is beautiful - and even if you don't use it for tracking time, it looks lovely as a sculpture.
Maukie is so cute! I have four different animals scattered through
my web site in hopes of giving readers cute surprises. They are not on my blog, though.
Regarding your sundial. I think it is a lovely thing to have in a garden where the sun moves slowly and silently across the garden. I think it is a perfect thing to have. Wish I had one - maybe that's something I should pursue.
