GORGEOUS GAZANIAS.

Such dazzling colours. We intended to get tomato plants today, but they didn't have "rogesta", a type recommended by Gonzalo. Then we saw these and couldn't resist.

We've decided to move the deep pink bourganvillea from its pot under the pergola and resite it against a sunny wall. I dug a hole as deep as I could before el jefe would have to take over to dig deeper and popped away to get a bottle of rain water. My little helper, Yang, was busy filling in the hole by the time I returned! Just in case the pink bourganvillea doesn't take, we've bought a white companion and if they both survive will look lovely together.
Mathilde called me through to admire the deep, almost black, geranium I gave her last year: she'd planted it out and it was twice the size. Gonzalo then invited me to have some lemons, showed me his new cold frame with green peppers 1M high, celery, leeks and so many veg you'd think he was feeding the whole of Chiclana. I scrambled back through the fence with a huge bag of lemons, a sweet little red kalanchoe plant and some new-laid hen and duck eggs.

Beautiful Gazanias! I wish you the best of luck with your bougainvillea I know they don't like their roots disturbed. Hopefully the pink will survive so you can have the white be it's pretty companion. I don't think I've ever seen a white one before. The purple bougainvilleas are becoming popular over here this year.

Love gazanias, unfortunately they do not do well here, rabbits love them and the soil is far to heavy.
I shall have to admire yours.
White bourganvillea (I've probably spelt that wrong), I love white flowers, so again I will be interested to watch yours flourish. As far as I am concerned glad you got these and not the tomatoes.
Have a sunny and bright weekend from cold and possibly snowy south east of ENGLAND!!!!!

Oh Yum, fresh eggs! How lucky you are.

I think the pink and white bouganvillea will look good together.

I took a little walk about my garden today and was thrilled to see that a wisteria vine is alive and growing!

Oh I wish I could get duck eggs. I've not had them since I was a child. And oddly enough I was thinking about them only this morning ..
There's an award waiting for you on my blog if you'd like to come and collect it.

The garden looks really good! It's clever to use stones so you don't have to to do so much weeding :-)

VLotus - we have several varieties here - peach, white, pale pink, deep magenta and the purple. Will take a pick when ours are planted.

Cheryl - would have popped over to pass this Award on, but I see you have your own....congrats. Well deserved.

Becky - wistaria: lovely. D. keeps nagging me for some, but where to put it.....

M - so true. We have an English hoe (strange to Spanish gardeners who seem to use the mattock for everything) and will be vigilant. The weeds still come up between the bricks....dang!

Isn't this great - 2 Stateside, one UK and one Sweden....so good to exchange what's happening in our climates. Thank you all.
