SPANISH SIGHTS.

We set out for Cadiz this morning and met very slow traffic through the main road of the peninsular, Avenida de Andalucia. Eventu
ally we discovered the cause....and impromptu festivo for the Virgen de Rocio.

Hundreds of women, in all their Andalucian finery, were following a small band of male
musicians and some floral decorated floats. It was impossible to park, so we abandoned our attempt to visit the Tax office and went on to nearby Jerez. The jacaranda trees are in full bloom down leafy avenues, so especially for Nature Girl, here they are:

Click on pictures for the full beauty of the jacarandas.

Love all that garden art. How wonderful that you both are so creative.

Those jacaranda trees are very pretty.

At Bliss we are dancing! :-)

Thanks Yolanda. I did enjoy the bop on your site.

For an Anon poster elsewhere on this blog, I'm sorry I have little info on the dame de noche plant . This website gave me this http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=CENO but unfortunately no picture.
It's described as a weed! It sure is taking over a lot of space and if I get seeds this year, I will mention it on the blog for anyone who wants some.

Those ladies are indeed beautiful.
I wish our culture did such nice things like this.

As for the buddleia, mine is not in bloom yet . . . but soon I hope.
Post a photo of yours and if you "catch" a butterfly, all the better!
