Costa de la Luz Gardening

Creating a garden since 2003 out of an old orchard, a barley field and a building site on the windy coast of southern Andalucia, Spain. Welcome. I hope you enjoy my rambles and pictures and, hopefully, a bit of warmth if you're in cooler climes.

Easter Monday dew-sodden garden

After a few days of constant rain this is what we looked like this morning.   Everything has been blooming since January but some stuff, like lantana and the lilies have burgeoned, whilst the nasturutiums are just going over.

I came across this, taken about 4 years ago, when we'd just done the pine chipped central space and before we created paths along the back.   How bare it looks.....contrasted with above.  This garden has grown without rhyme or reason - we've just put in what we thought would be at home and somehow it's worked.    As a friend recently described, it's a cosy, intimate space.

Your garden looks lovely, as always. We've been having a cold and rainy week too. We start off in the cloud, then it clears and the sun tries to come out, then it rains or drizzles. Doh!

I must agree to Jan - perfect place you have there, like paradise! :)

I always feel like I'm on holiday, when I come here to see what you are up to :)
