GARDEN GIZMO.

Found this last week (snap, Yolanda!) since when, the rain and wind have stopped. Yes, it really did register 32C, but ambient temperature about 28C .....

Becky has set up a competition about tea. Now, while I don't want to enter, I couldn't resist sharing this little ode....

ODE TO TEA, Source unknown.

A little cup of friendship
With a bag of tea
When you drink this
Think of love from me.

I was lucky enough to win a gardening book from Becky some time ago.

We had 3 days solid rain last week so the new plants are in the ground and I'm talking to them daily to jolly them along.

These are the little blighters that Yin and Yang chase around the garden. They are enormous beige grasshoppers and dine out on all the new shoots in the citrus trees. Click on to see their exquisite patterning and strange eyes. Yes, they are procreating, so Yin and Yang had better get busy. (Photo courtesy of Yvonne, who is a great photographer).

Beautiful grasshoppers, what a fantastic photo of them. We only get the really tiny oak grasshopper here, still lovely though!

LOL, those garden gadgets are to be found everywhere, aren't they? I bought mine at Lidl.

Love that little Ode to Tea as I'm drinking the stuff in vast quantities.

Those grasshoppers are big and I'm not surprised that Yin and Yang like to chase them around your garden.

I don't think I've ever seen such big grasshoppers. But they are strangely beautiful. Hope Yin & Yang have fun chasing them away. --Curmudgeon

Thanks for popping over everyone.

Now, if only that hoopoe would reappear and hold still long enough, I can provide a real treat for you bird lovers.

The grasshoppers are gigantic. Wow! It sounds as if you are getting a lot of rain these days. Your garden must love it...
