Yang's gong

This lovely Japanese windchime gong has been hanging on the wall for a couple of years. Yang has recently noticed that it makes a good sound when he pats the swinging wood. So now, instead of knocking things off shelves to attract our attention when he wants to go out, he sounds the gong...

OK, I can't stay away, especially on a day like today - blue sky, 17C on the patio and lots blooming in the garden as if it were Spring.

Farewell to Dermy.

EL SUPREMO. Sad to say, Dermy lost his battle with a heart complaint this week. He was nearly 20, was a much-travelled cat and a real character. Our friends, his owners, have been at the vets almost daily for the last few months and Dermy, due to their t.l.c., kept rallying round. It was not to be though, he was just too tired.

Fare thee well Dermy. You have given us a lot of pleasure in the short time we've known you and you will always be in our hearts.
